Right now I am reading books that have been in my reading life in the past, like 50 years .
Now when I read Isaac Asimov I find fault with his stories.
For one thing, he did not envision the technology of cell phones.
He thought we would multiply our populations to the extent that we sould seek out new planets to sop up the excess.
Not happening.
The world’s women have caught on to the fact that raising children is an expensive project, so they are “just saying no”.
Or they are taking advantage of the contraceptives and not having babies like in former years.
This is not only happening in Europe and America, but China, and it is worrying to governments, as a superior population equals power for those in charge.
Too bad, the economics of a country determines what people think, and if the thinking changes, life changes.
Along with the dissolution of religion, low birth rates are something to deal with, and governments are not prepared.
Back to books, and that means Romances and feel good stories.
