St. PATRICK’S DAY 2020
I should have gone to the public library yesterday. Now starting today it will be closed until further notice.
I have enough sources of free books so it is not that I lack for entertainment, but feel that the world is truly ending.
I have always felt that libraries were my sanctuaries no matter where I lived, now that is closed to me.
I can dash into the grocery, pick up my meds at the drugstore, and take long walks in the parks.
Even McDonalds is closing the dining rooms and resorting to walk in take out or car service.
Not that I patronized the fast foods a lot lately, but it is a good place to rest and read.
It may be a est stop again someday, but the bloom is off.
So- with the churches being a hot spot of contagion, can people finally realize that they do not need religion all that much and find substitutes?
Will Streaming movies replace a theatrical experience?
Will we all huddle down in bunker style until our leaders start acting sensibly?
I think we are on our own, and hope the next generation learns something from all this disruption.
