Being a lady and then being first
Tonight I tuned in to 60 Minutes and was gratified to see and hear Hillary R. Clinton being interviewed.
She was asked if she heard what her rival the Orange Haired One had said about her in his diatribes during his Convention of the Discontented.
She had heard about it and was sorry for him that he had come across as being so negative.
She said she did not recognize the country that he was describing.
I agree, and will not pay much attention to the Republican ideas of our country, or even Fox News, that concentrates on the negative of anything Democratic, and emphasizes the gloom and doom scenario.
Most of all I admire Hillary for her cheerfulness in the face of nastiness, and her determination to provide a positive role model for future female members of government.
We do need a strong leader, and she has the experience to be that leader, besides being able to be a team player. Being First in the Nation does not always make our Presidents right, but she has the back- up of the past two Democratic Presidents, Obama and Bill Clinton.
She has the correct attitude and will not sling mud as her opponent so cheerfully does, but intends to point out facts that are in the public domain, and quote the bully’s statements to contrast her proposed programs to his baffling bulls—t.
Being able to admit your faults and mistakes, which she readily does on national television goes in stark contrast to Trump, who is in another universe with his bombastic blather about how He will solve the myriad of snarly problems facing us today at home and in the world.
Trump has not been a team player, and has appealed to the basest of emotions in the disgruntled fringe populace.
Hillary can laugh at herself, and presents such a positive scenario, that it is refreshing after all the hate mongering that we have witnessed so far from the die -hard Haters in the Republican Party.
Tonight, even though I cannot send any more money to the DNC to help the fight against encroaching darkness of the Right Wing Nuts in the GOP, I can cheer my first Lady on, and feel that she is the Gold Standard of Presidential Choice.
