When I saw on the net the announcement that Antonin Scalia was dead, I thought “Good”.
This will mean progress for our judicial system, and maybe halt the juggernaut of the conservative tide of big Corporations, Big Money and Big mouthed blowhards trying to ruin our democracy.
I have sympathy for his friends and family of course, but I know that he is not going to be hurt by my opinion that we are now better off without him.
He thinks he is in heaven, but that is a question waiting for us all. I think he is nowhere and if he had a consciousness, he would not care about those he left behind. He did not care for the society when he was here, so what the heck?
Why should he care now?
Being a superstitious fellow, and brainwashed by the Catholic Church for all his life, he ran his opinions according to his morality, and don’t let anyone kid you about his following the traditionalist reading of the Constitution.
Now our President has the very welcome job of finding a more sensible candidate for the office of Supreme, and although it may be an uphill job to get an approval of a “liberal” candidate through this do- nothing conservative Congress, at least he has the choice now.
As a member of the President’s Honorary Kitchen cabinet, I advise him to find another woman, preferably of color or Asian to balance this “Old Boy’s Club” and put to rest the old mossbacks that want to keep us chained to the Victorian standards of repressing women on all fronts.
Go Barry, Go!
